Rosemary Schauwecker Stover
(January 13, 1918 - December 12, 2016)



Rosemary Stover, 98, of Huntington, died Monday, December 12, 2016 in the Woodlands Health Care Facility. She was born January 13, 1918 in St. Mary’s, WV, a daughter of the late Franklin J. and Ethel Robinson Schauwecker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, S. O’Neil Stover and by her sister, June Gibson. Rosemary moved to Parkersburg, WV in 1933 and graduated from Parkersburg High School and Mountain State Business College. In 1958 she and her family moved to Huntington, WV. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Huntington, the Huntington Woman’s Club, the Cotillion Club and the Huntington Museum of Art. She enjoyed the game of bridge, gardening, reading and painting. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Ann Duesterhaus (Jerry); son, Mark Edward Stover; grandchildren, Will Foster, Deana Witwer (Todd) and Kara Duesterhaus; two great-granddaughters, Caitlin and Morgan; a nephew, David Gibson and his children, Tiffany and Adam. The family would like to thank the Woodlands healthcare staff for their loving care extended to her. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016 in the Ridgelawn Memorial Park’s Abbey of Devotion where the family will receive friends at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
