Clinton Frederick McCallister
(July 6, 1926 - February 21, 2018)

Clinton Frederick “Fred” McCallister, 91, of Huntington, West Virginia, died February 21, 2018 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born in Lincoln County, West Virginia, the oldest of eight children. Fred was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Lois Mae Daugherty McCallister. Survivors include his son, Fred McCallister, of Huntington, WV; two granddaughters, Megan and Macie McCallister, both of Huntington, WV. Fred was an Army veteran of WWII. Fred and Lois were active in several Presbyterian churches in Beckley and Huntington, WV, including First Presbyterian Church in Huntington, where they were married in 1952. Fred was employed with the Veteran Administration, where he retired after 40 years of service. A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm, Friday, February 23, 2018 at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary by Rev. Mark Kozak and Rev. Rick Wilson. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
