ObituarySylvia Max Brammer Sylvia Max Brammer, 69, of Montgomery, Texas, formerly of Huntington, passed away after a seven year battle with lung cancer, June 6, 2011 at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday by Rev. Steve Grimes, at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Entombment will follow. She was born January 8, 1942 in Rock Hill, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Henry L. Max and Ruby Spencer Ferguson. Sylvia attended Marshall University and the University of Kentucky. She taught shorthand at the Huntington School of Business and worked in both insurance and hospital offices. Sylvia is survived by her husband G. Robert Bob Brammer, whom she dated during college, 1961-1964 and married in 1996. A stepson Beau Robert Brammer of Spring, TX and her cousin Sue Ellen Nichols and husband Jack of Barboursville, WV, and their daughter Heather of CA. She will be missed by her Yorkies- Rhett, Tara, Prissy, Little Bit, Bobbie, Joey and Princess. Sylvia enjoyed collecting cookbooks and eating Italian food. She loved her friends in Huntington, Manitoulin Island, Canada and Montgomery, Texas. She is now with her loving mother.
