James Walter Waugh
(November 2, 1929 - April 9, 2013)



James Walter Waugh, 83, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the Huntington VA Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Friday at the Madison Avenue Christian Church by Pastor Jamie Gump. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. He was born November 2, 1929, a son of the late Mack and Lillie Waugh. He was a retired foreman at Owens-Illinois and attended Madison Avenue Christian Church. Jim was an avid golfer and a member of Spring Valley Country Club for many years. He was blessed with many friends and memories. He was a member of the American Legion Post 93 of Kenova and served in the U. S. Marine Corps. Jim was an amazing athlete and played semi-pro baseball with the St. Louis Browns and in Kansas City. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister and brother in law Erma Lee and Hank Deppner, brother and sister in law Kenneth and Mary Waugh and brother in law Jim Moore. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, whom he adored, Anna Huffman Waugh; children Diana and Mike Pesicek, Jimmy Waugh, Debbie and Raj Jain, Deron McMullen and his fiancé, Alicia Rowell; brothers and sisters Robert and Manya Waugh, Don and Faye Waugh, Norma Moore, Nancy and Boots McComas, Judy and Raymond Carroll; grandchildren Julie and Josh Caldwell, Justin and Brittney Stark, Tanner McMullen, Brooke McMullen, Brianna McMullen, Courtney and Jim Wilburn, Seth Jones, McKenzie Jones, Haley Waugh and many much loved great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Reger Funeral Home.
