Billy Joe Copley
(June 22, 1941 - April 5, 2014)



Billy Joe Copley, 72, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014, at St. Mary's Medical Center. The Celebration of Life service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday April 12, 2014 at Beech Fork State Park Shelter Number 3, Lavallette, WV. He was born June 22, 1941 in Huntington, WV the son of the late Joe and Wilma J. "Billie" Ellis Copley. He was a retired sheet metal worker for Local 24 Columbus, Ohio and he was former member of the US Army Reserves. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a step son: Sammy Hart and a sister: Becky Payne. Survivors include his wife of 32 years Hollice “Blondie” Copley, two sons and a daughter in law: Billy and Shannon Copley of Logan, Ohio, and James Copley of Huntington, WV. A daughter Lisa Wilson of Proctorville, Ohio, seven grandchildren, one great grandson, a brother and sister in law: Mike and Betty Copley of Huntington, two nieces: Kim Brickey of Sandy Hook, KY. and Jessica Copley of Huntington and a nephew: David Copley of Germany. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Cabell-Wayne Animal Shelter,1901 James River Road, Huntington, WV 25701. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family.
