Obituary
Zola “Susie” Lee Staley Hassett,
74, of Huntington passed away and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday
January 14, 2014 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be
held on Friday January 17,2014 at 2:00 pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel
conducted by Pastor Larry Mullins. Burial will follow at the Maynard
Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Jeremy Johnson, Ralph Hill, Timothy Watts,
Joshua Watts, Justin William Boyle, and Johnathan Newman She was born on May
30, 1939. She was a loving mother and a vibrant woman who was as strong as
she was loving and caring. She appreciated life and all of its moments and
strived to make those around her happy and secure. She was straight forward
and direct and incredibly supportive of everyone in her family. She will be
terribly missed and always honored and cherished. Zola is preceded in death
by her father and mother Walter Henry and Stella Mae Alley Staley, two
sisters; Mary Ellen Staley and Helen Francis Staley and a granddaughter Tara
Lynn Boyle Overby. She is survived by her brother: Charles Earl Staley (Ann)
and her sister; Anna Margaret Corn. She is survived by her children; William
Ray Boyle (Tracy), Walter Dion Boyle (Vaughna), Brian Keith Boyle Hassett
(Janet), Randall Hassett (Tammy), Wayne Hassett and Jacob Hassett (Rea) and
her only daughter: Yvonna L. Boyle Maynard and her husband Elvie who loved
Zola dearly. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Johnathan Paul
Overby, Jeremy Ryan Johnson, Timothy and Joshua Watts, Marissa Dawn, John
Bradley, Kelli Jo, Christopher Shawn, Dianna Lynn and Justin William Boyle
and Patrisha Joyce Newman, 19 great grandchildren, several nieces and
nephews and many friends including; Joyce Jackson, Richard Neal, and her
lifelong friend; Mary L. Adkins. Friends may call from 5-7 pm Thursday
January 16, 2014 at the Reger Funeral Home
