DEWEY MONROE PERKINS, 81, of Huntington, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2017, at Pentecostal Truth Ministries, Huntington, by Pastor Janet Mounts and Rev. Tim Porter. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Huntington, W.Va. Dewey was born on December 5, 1935, in Huntington, W.Va., the son of the late Mike and Millie Harless Perkins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Jean Barlow Perkins and a son, Randy Perkins. He was a retired machine operator for Adkins Transfer and a member of Pentecostal Truth Ministries, where he was a Board Member and the Head Usher. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Tim Porter of Kenova, W.Va., and his loving daughter and caregiver, Regina Perkins of Huntington; two grandchildren and spouse, Jacob and Jessica Thompson and Kassidi Thompson, all of Huntington. Friends may call from 11 a.m. Friday until service time at the church. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family.
