Obituary
Jack I. Lipps, 90, of Huntington, WV, and husband of Mary Ann (Scheibelhood) Lipps, died May 24th at his home. He was retired from Acme Machinery Co. and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with friends and family. He lived life to the fullest, always with a smile on his face. He was born October 8, 1926, in Williamson, WV, the son of the late Elbert E. Lipps and Laura (Hatfield) Lipps. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Elizabeth (Taylor) Lipps, his eldest daughter Mary Ooten and his brother Howard “Bud” Lipps. Additional survivors include daughters Helen L. Adkins of South Carolina and Nancy L. Ryan of Morehead, KY; grandchildren Keith (Tana) Ryan and Kelley (Jason) Ratcliff all of Morehead, KY. and Kimberly Ooten (Jimmy) Hymiller and Angie Ooten of Florida; great grandchildren Landon Ratcliff, Miana Ratcliff and Jacob Ryan all of Morehead, KY and Jacqueline Ooten, Colten Hollie and Zack Brown all of Florida; a special nephew William “Bill” Lipps and many extended family members and friends. A wake service will be conducted at 5:30 PM Friday at the Reger Funeral Home with visitation following from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral liturgy will be conducted at 10 am Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Father Chuck McGinnis. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
