Tyler Emory
Woolwine
(January 3, 1986 - May 1, 2020)
Tyler Emory Woolwine, 34, of
Huntington, WV passed on May 1, 2020. He was born January 3, 1986 to Debra
Woolwine and the late Donald Joe Woolwine. He was also preceded in death by
this grandparents, Charles and Hazel Woolwine and Emory and Janice Lusk. He
is survived by his twin brother, Andrew Joseph Woolwine of Morgantown, WV.
Tyler graduated from Spring Valley High School in 2004 where he played
baseball, wrestled, and ran cross country. He was a teacher at Duval PK-8
where he taught social studies, coached soccer for two years, and helped
with weightlifting - conditioning. He was voted Lincoln County soccer coach
of the year in 2019 and led the Duval Yellow Jackets to their first county
championship. He ran various clubs focusing on chess, fishing/wild life, and
veterans. He had 10 Golden Horseshoe winners and coached quiz bowl. Tyler
loved the kids he taught and coached. Tyler loved playing guitar, listening
to music, and was an avid reader. He enjoyed spending time outside fly
fishing for the elusive “CuttyRainBrown,” riding motorcycles, and spending
time at the cabin. Tyler was known for being funny and he could brighten up
any room. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
