James Robert Grimes
(January 14, 1950 - May 19, 2014)

James Robert Grimes, 64, of Milton, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 19, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, with Hollis Walters officiating. Burial will be in the Donel C. Kinnard National Cemetery, Dunbar, WV. He was born January 14, 1950 in Cabell County, a son of Melvin Lee Grimes of Milton and the late Margaret Marie Holley Grimes. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the US Air Force and was a member of American Legion Post #139 Milton, WV whose members will conduct military rites. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue Chapman Grimes; one daughter, Kerri Jo (Timothy) Lewis of Milton; one son, Chance Reid Grimes and Catherine Adkins of Huntington; one sister, Kay (Danny) Ford of Milton; and one grandson, C.J. Grimes. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton.
