EULA DAY ADKINS
(November 17, 1914 - April 6, 2015)


EULA DAY ADKINS, 100, of Ona, went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2015, at Midland Meadows. She was born November 17, 1914, in Wayne County, a daughter of the late Henson and Zera Ferguson Day. Eula and her husband lived on Beech Fork until the flood control project acquired their property and they relocated to Ona. She was a member of Beulah Ann Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband R. Carlton Adkins; one son and daughter-in-law, Glen Stanley and Pat Adkins; one grandson, Matthew; two great-grandsons, Curt and Christopher; and grandson-in-law Andy. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and George Godby of Milton, and Helena and John Lusher of Barboursville; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Steve and Jackie, Jeannie and Robert, Kaylene, LeAnn and Craig, Todd and Angie, Rick and Rhonda, Missy and Mark, Carla and Scott, and Cindy; 16 great-grandchildren; two step- great-grandchildren and 11 great- great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Pastor Paul Meadows and Rev. Bob Johnson. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Grandsons will be pallbearers. The family would like to thank Eula's caregivers, especially Mary.
