ObituaryMILDRED MARIE CARTER
MILDRED MARIE CARTER, 93 of Barboursville, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 5, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Rev. Winford Curry. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery. She was born October 11, 1922, in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Marshall Hensley and Sarah Edith Weatherholt Spencer. She was preceded in death by her husband Denver Carter; seven brothers and sisters; daughter-in-law Connie Carter; and son-in-law Larry Lewis. She is survived by two daughters, Janet Lewis (Darell) and Sheila Braley (Ed) of Barboursville, and one son, Donald Carter of Milton; six grandchildren, Jamie and Betty Braley, Leah and Mike Ball, Sarah and Larry Dial Jr., Melissa Napier, Jeff and Melissa Lewis and Justin Carter; 14 great-grandchildren, Corey Black (Lacey), Colby Black, Jarad Lundsford, Madison Lewis, Autumn Lewis, J.J. Lewis, Morgan and Emma Braley, Mikel and Loren Ball, Mason, Kaylyn, and Kinslee Dial and Rylan Haynes; and one great-great-granddaughter, Callie Marie Black. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton.
