Donald Ray Counts Sr.
December 21, 1942 - September 3, 2017)

DONALD RAY "CHEW" COUNTS SR., 74, of Milton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born December 21, 1942, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Charles Preston Counts and Nellie Workman Counts. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mae Counts Woodall and Patty Counts Cardwell; and one brother, Charles L. Counts. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bessie Christine Chapman Counts; one daughter, Kristy Sue Counts; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald Ray Counts Jr. and Tammie; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Marissa Rene Counts and Dylan Hayslette; one brother, William P. Counts; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017, at Forest Memorial Park Mausoleum by Pastor Barry Cremeans. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mausoleum. Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, is in charge of arrangements.
