Helen Virginia Patterson
(January 26, 1925 - July 21, 2018)

Helen Virginia Patterson, 93, of Milton, died July 21, 2018, in Cabell Health Care surrounded by her family. She was born January 26, 1925, the daughter of Bura Carpenter and Anna Sovine Carpenter. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Patterson; her sisters, Stella Marie Irwin and Lola Carpenter; and her brothers, Elden Carpenter, Earl Carpenter, and Claude Carpenter. She is survived by her daughters, Ladonna Robinson (Gordon) and Jeanette Fischer (Bruce); a granddaughter, Ashley Dornbos (Andrew), and two precious great grandchildren, Gideon and Caroline. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews of whom she loved dearly. Virginia was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Milton where she had many caring friends and family. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Pastor Chelcie Gibson and Pastor Mark Hesson. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.
