Obituary

Arville Hitchcox
(December 7, 1921 - June 8, 2018)

ARVILLE HITCHCOX, 96, of Palm Harbor, Fla., formerly of Milton, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018. He was born December 7, 1921, in Pikeville, Ky., a son of the late Daniel Hitchcox and Gertrude Preston Hitchcox. He retired from DuPont Chemical with 35 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in World War II. He was a member of the Lebanon Lodge #68, Milton AF&AM, and the Beni Kedem Shriners in Charleston, W.Va. He was also preceded in death by his wives, Alma Lee Hitchcox and Sara Hitchcox. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Troy and Fran Hitchcox of Ocala, Fla., and Gary and Teresa Hitchcox of Palm Harbor, Fla.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Forest Memorial Park, Mausoleum.
