ObituaryCharles Cleveland Childers
CHARLES CLEVELAND CHILDERS, age 87,
went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 20, 2019. He was born
October 19, 1931, in Cabell County, W.Va., a son of the late Emory and Ruth
Hutchinson Childers. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna
Lee Childers. He loved to paint, valued hard work and loved God deeply. He
was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the
Korean Conflict. He is survived by his brother, Emory Childers; sisters,
Linda Roach and Suzanna Chapman; son, Mike Childers and his wife Kristine;
son, Rick Childers and his wife Teresa; son, Gregory Childers and his wife
Cheryl; and daughter, Cindy Childers. He is also survived by numerous
grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he adored, including grandson,
Jeremy Childers, his wife Sheena and their sons Ethan and Evan; grandson,
Justin Childers; grandson, Jarrod Childers, his wife Hannah and daughters
Alexandra and Lauren; grandson, John Childers, his wife Kristy their
children Andrew and Kailey; grandson, Daniel Childers, his wife Sasha and
their daughter Grace; granddaughter, Alisa Peters, her husband Tyree and
their sons Judson, Beau and William; granddaughter, Lindsey Carte, her
husband Dennis and daughter Madison Short; granddaughter, Adrienne Childers,
her fiance Andrew Kimball and their daughter Evelyn; grandson, Charles Cody
Childers; granddaughter, Courtney Chapman, her husband Josiah; and
granddaughter, Sarah Boekell, her husband Paul and their children Isaiah,
Juliet, Ezra and Abraham. Charles would also like to mention family friends
Cheryl Craddock Childers, Steve Bond and extended family. Funeral services
will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019, at
