ObituaryKatherine Jane Cyrus
McDermott Katherine Jane Cyrus McDermott, of Ona, WV, entered the gates of Heaven and claimed her reward. She was the daughter of the late Hughie Allen and Katherine G. Mallory Cyrus. She was Baptist by faith and was a 1956 graduate of Barboursville High School, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #95, Barboursville, and a life member of the WV 4-H Allstars. She was also active in many other organizations through her life. She was a retired Cabell County School kindergarten aide. Survivors include her husband, William H. Bill McDermott; her son, W. Alan McDermott and his wife, Lynda; her daughter, Misty D. Adkins and her husband, Shannon; and her grandsons that were her pride and joy, William and Adam McDermott, and Keegan and Kylar Adkins, all of Ona, WV. Visitation will be Friday from 6-7 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Eastern Star services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Home. Graveside services will be private.
