Paul Edwin "Eddie" DeJarnett
(December 20, 1953 - June 1, 2014)



Paul Edwin Eddie DeJarnett, 60, of Salt Rock, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by Pastor Don Weeks. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery. He was born December 20, 1953 in West Hamlin, WV, a son of Doris Jean Barrett DeJarnett of Huntington, WV, and the late Paul DeJarnett. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where he was active in the bus ministry and the Cubbies. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Beuford Coleman and a nephew, Paul Perry. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Coleman DeJarnett; one daughter, Heather DeJarnett and one son, John DeJarnett, both at home; one sister, Paula J. Perry and her husband Gary of West Palm Beach, Florida; two brothers, William H. DeJarnett and his wife Cynthia of South Point, OH, and Ronnie DeJarnett and his wife Michelle of Salt Rock; his mother-in-law, Ella Coleman of Lesage, WV; his brothers-in-law, Danny (Pam) Coleman of Ona, Perry Coleman of Lesage, and Curtis (Tonja) Coleman of Altizer; a host of nieces and nephews, and special friends, Savannah, Beth and Nikki. Pallbearers will be Michael DeJarnett, Joe Carpenter, Walt Williams, Jason Hanshaw, Chad Pyles and Chuck McCroskey. Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Tuesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Bus Ministry or to the American Cancer Society.
