ObituaryClark Edwin Childers Clark Edwin Childers, 79, of Salt Rock, WV is peacefully resting in the arms of his Savior until that resurrection day. God ceased his suffering on Aug. 6, 2015 in the VA hospital Huntington WV. He was the oldest child of the late C.S. and Birdie Childers. He leaves behind to mourn his passing and remember him with love his wife Nora Hightower Childers; two children, Teresa (Ron) of Salt Rock and Clark Edwin (Jodi) of Teays Valley; six grandchildren, Brandon (Meleah) of Dawes, Kristi (AJ) of Salt Rock, Jennifer (Jeff) of Salt Rock, Caleb of Teays Valley, Corey of Washington DC, and Logan of Los Angeles; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Rachael, Isaac, Owenn, Bryce, Alexis and Kyndra; two siblings, Dexter (Joyce) and Gwenith Joyce (Charles) all of Salt Rock; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. He was a US Army veteran. After 30 years of service, he retired from Owens-Illinois. He was a member of the Madison United Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school for over 39 years. He belonged to Minerva Lodge #13 A.F. & A.M. where he was a 32nd degree Mason, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #106. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral service Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel with Elder Lennie Romans and Bro. Donald Childers. Burial at Baylous Cemetery, Salt Rock.
