Nellie Louise Cooper
(July 22, 1928 - February 23, 2016)



Nellie Louise Cooper, 87, of Barboursville, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church by the Father Paul Yuenger. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. She was born July 22, 1928 in Beckley, a daughter of the late Agatino and Josephine Tipane. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Cooper; three siblings, Louis Angelo Tipane, Grace Puglisi and Santa Elkins; daughter-in-law, Tari Cooper; and three grandchildren, Brad Boley, Stephanie Cooper and Kelly Cooper. She is survived by her children William Cooper (Pamela), Paul Cooper, David Cooper (Paula) , Mary Sowards, Jane Cooper, Catherine Swann (Gary) and Christopher Cooper; two sisters, Tenia Trimboli and Sister Josephine Tipane; one brother, Tony Tipane; 26 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
