Glenna Mae "Gleanie" Estep

Glenna Mae Estep, “Gleanie”, 91, of Barboursville, departed this life July 6, 2018 to her heavenly home. A daughter of the late Aldy and Lilly Simmons Shaw, and widow of J. Edward Estep “Poppie”. Also preceding her in death are two brothers, Randal Shaw and Dewey Shaw (Infant) and one daughter, Sandra Darlene Estep. Survivors include one son, Sid “Buddy” Estep and his wife, Madonna of Barboursville, one granddaughter, Marisa Stortz and her husband Michael, and two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Michael Joshua, residing in Wilder, KY; two sisters, Reba Hawks of Richmond, VA and Cleo Mayes of Havre, MT; one adopted daughter, Jeannette Engle of Huntington, WV and a very affectionate and caring Christian Family from The Barboursville Church of Christ, where she had been a member for many years. She was an office manager at Addressograph Multigraph of Huntington. She introduced and organized the computer and technological program for St. Mary’s Hospital. She retired from the Science Department of Marshall University where she was employed for many years. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, with Minister David Gladwell officiating. Entombment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Huntington, Box 464, Huntington, WV, 25709 or Gideon’s International. Visitation will be from 2-3 pm Wednesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
