Mary Hedwig Moehling Powell
(October 8, 1936 - June 9, 2019)



MARY HEDWIG MOEHLING POWELL, 82, of Huntington, passed away June 9, 2019, at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 8, 1936, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Frederick William Moehling and Kathryn Ester Kincaid Moehling. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Fred Ernest Moehling. She served on the ship Hope for one year off the coast of South America. She graduated from Huntington East High School and from Marshall University. Mary was 1st in her class in Villanova Law School; she was the lead attorney for Wyeth Laboratories, Philadelphia, Pa., and she never lost a case. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, David William and Beverly Moehling; sister-in-law, Dru Moehling; nephew, Rodney William Moehling; nieces, Lisa and Scott Chester and Lynn (Moehling) Berens; several great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Minister Danny Evans. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation will be from one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
