Obituary

Ralph Richard Morgan Sr.
(March 16, 1953 - August 31, 2021)



Ralph Richard Morgan Sr., 68, of Branchland, loving husband and devoted father and grandfather, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Keith Waters. Burial will be in Gordon Adkins Cemetery. He was born March 16, 1953 in Huntington, a son of the late Jack and Edna Adkins Morgan. He was a very faithful Christian and always had a smile for everyone he met. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Clarabele Lacey, Jackie Morgan, Eugene Morgan, Bessie Murphy, Nita Dixon, George Morgan, and John Morgan. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Arita Gue Morgan; one son, Ralph Morgan Jr. of Milton; stepdaughter, Brandi and Rodney Gillispie of Branchland; one sister, Liz Adkins of Ravenswood; three brothers, Robert Morgan, Jim Morgan, and Casey Morgan; and two grandchildren, Jarred Messinger (Madyson Chapman) and Dakota Gillispie. He also leaves behind loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and several other family members. The family wants to thank the nurses at Cabell Huntington Hospital MICU for their care. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
