Obituary

Roger Dale Mayes
(April 10, 1951 - January 22, 2022)

Roger Dale Mayes, 70, of Chesapeake, OH passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born April 10, 1951 in Mason County, a son of the late Earl and Ellen Jeffers Mayes. He is also preceded in death by one daughter, Kendra Mayes and by one brother, Roy Dean. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Dye Mayes; two sons, Scott Mayes (Chasity) and Rodney Mayes; one sister, Judy Perry; seven brothers, Earl Jr., Jerry, Larry, Gary, Timmy, Wayne and Randy; ten grandchildren, Teka, Taya, Thomas, Travis, Timothy, Aiden, Abyl, Trinity, Grace and Marli; six great grandchildren, Mary, Clara, Wyatt, Ledger, Noah and Lacey and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. There will be no funeral service. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. At his request, he will be cremated.
