Betty was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, raising 6 children and spending countless hours volunteering at Little League 4 Baseball, YMCA Buddy Basketball, and Huntington's Junior League.  While raising a busy family, she found time to become an accomplished tennis player, dominating local and state tournaments. Betty was a tennis pro at the Huntington Tennis Club in the 70s and early 80s before venturing into real estate where she helped her son Jim launch RE/MAX Realty Consultants. She was a graduate of Hamlin High School where she was a member of the basketball team, a cheerleader and named Miss Bobcat.  A 1955 graduate of Marshall (College) University, "Plott" as she was frequently called was a fierce competitor in intramural and club sports, and served as the President of the Women’s Athletic Association; a Varsity Cheerleader for three years, serving as captain during her senior year; a contributor to the Parthenon; and a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. Betty enjoyed family genealogy, competitive tennis, her annual jaunt to Hilton Head Island with Marlene, her frequent trips to the family’s cabin on the Greenbrier River, and her grandchildren. Betty is survived by her husband of 62 years, James J. Weiler II and sons David W. Weiler (Kay) of Norwich CT, James J. Weiler III (Sally) of Huntington WV, Dr. Robert M. Weiler (Lisa) of Springfield VA, Mark S. Weiler, Charleston WV, Mike L.
