Phyllis Norris Doyle
(January 6, 1938 - August 30, 2014)

Phyllis Norris Doyle, 76, of Huntington, WV, died Saturday August 30, 2014 at her residence. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday September 5, 2014 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington with Father Chuck McGinnis officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Phyllis was born January 6, 1938 in Kenova, WV, a daughter of the late Edgar & Virginia Caldwell Norris. She was a retired cook with the Cabell County Board of Education and a 1956 graduate of Vinson High School. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James J. Doyle, one sister, Sherry Renninger and one brother, Steve Norris. Survivors include, her only son Gerald Doyle, two granddaughters, Laura & Katie Doyle, daughter-in-law Chrystalle Doyle, who she loved as her own daughter, all of Huntington, five brothers, Edgar J. Norris, Jr. & Tom Norris of Hurricane, Henry Norris of Milton, Bill Norris of Huntington & Jeff Norris of Teays Valley, two sisters-in-law, Janie Norris of Huntington & Louise Norris of Milton, niece, C. Denise Norris of Jacksonville Beach, FL, cousin, Linda Williams of Huntington and special friend, Clara Hamlin of Huntington. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday September 4, 2014.
