Obituary



Harless E. Stepp, 88, of Huntington, WV, died Sunday September 6, 2015 at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral service will be conducted at noon Friday September 11, 2015 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Pastor Mark Roach officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Harless was born September 20, 1926 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Charles and Anna M. Wroten Stepp. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII, a retired Contractor, was a member of the Jesus Church on the Ohio River Rd. and attended Mount Hope Missionary Baptist in Chesapeake, OH. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Delena Wood and Patricia Hensley, one son, Donald Stepp, 8 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include his wife of 70 years Ella Mae Daniels Stepp, three daughters, Anna Stepp and Kathleen Pauley both of Huntington and Diana (Arden) Brooks of Proctorville, OH, two sons, Harless (Betty) Stepp, Jr. of Chesapeake, OH, and Roger (Sally) Stepp of Huntington, one sister, Maxine Prince of Huntington, one brother, Omar Stepp of Arkansas, 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Veterans Honor Guard Post 16 will conduct military graveside rites. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday September 10, 2015 at Chapman's Mortuary.
