Obituary


Harry Fredrick Chappelle, Jr., 88, of Huntington, husband of Joan M. Chappelle, died Monday, April 15, 2019 in St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born April 24, 1930 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Harry Fredrick Chappelle, Sr., and Annabell Bailey Chappelle. Additional family that has preceded him in death are a son, Harry Fredrick Chappelle, III; two sisters, Julia Kelsey and Jean Marie Chappelle; and a brother, Charles Chappelle. He was retired from Cabell Huntington Hospital as a medical technologist. In addition to his wife, survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William J. and Madaloyn Chappelle of Huntington; and three grandchildren, Kayla Chappelle of Columbus, OH, Kiara Shepard and husband, Travis, of Huntington, and William F. Chappelle of Huntington. Per his request he will be cremated and there will be no services.
