Obituary



Raymond Arthur Wheeler, 85, of Jackson, OH, formerly of Huntington, died Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Oakwood Community Health Center, Jackson, OH. He was born October 10, 1933 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Arthur and Jewel Hensley Wheeler. Additional family that has preceded him in death are two sisters, Phyllis Wheeler and Ramona Gibson; and three brothers, Kenneth Wheeler, Lance "Cricket" Wheeler, and David Wheeler. Raymond was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean War and retired from A.C.F. as a Millwright. Survivors include three daughters, Rhonda Wheeler (Steve Martin) of Oak Hill, OH, Kimberly Kies (Chuck) of Sidney, OH, and Renea White (Charlie) of Ohio; two sons, Daniel Wheeler (Kimberly) of McArthur, OH, and Dwayne Wheeler (Kim) of Kettering, OH; 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; a brother, Mitchell Wheeler (Barbara) of Barboursville; and three sisters, Carolyn Jones of Athelia, OH, Marion (William Jake) Broughton of Kettering, OH, and Patty Eubanks (Bill) of Huntington. Inurnment with private services will occur at a later date in Baylous Cemetery. Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family.
