Obituary



Daniel Scott Reynolds, 73, of Griffithsville, WV, passed away Monday March 18, 2019 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Daniel was born June 20, 1945 in Portsmouth, VA, a son of the late Jack and Mary Burns Reynolds. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during Vietnam, a retired coal miner, and an avid musician/singer/songwriter. He was a lifetime member of both the V.F.W. Post 9097 in Hurricane and American Legion Post 111 in Hamlin. Also preceding him in death was his brother, Jack Reynolds. Survivors include one daughter Mary (Reynolds) Boatman, two sons, Dan and Chris Reynolds, one brother, Poncho, four grandchildren, Kelsey, Sam, Drake and Nova. A Celebration of life will be held from 1pm to 4pm at the American Legion Post 111 in Hamlin on Saturday March 30, 2019. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
