Obituary

Seyed Hossein Hadisadegh
(November 20, 1939 - June 13, 2013)

The Huntington community is in shock after a tragic accident took the life of a retired surgeon. Dr. Hossein Hadi-Sadegh Born November 20, 1939 , Lost from us on June 13, 2013. Dr. Hadi leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Moloud , his son Darius, brothers, sisters, many nieces, nephews, and very dear friends. He is now with his daughter, Marjan, whom they lost many years ago. Dr. Hossein graduated from Teheran University , with an MD 48 years ago. He had his residency training of Cardiovascular Surgery at University of Tennessee Hospitals, and Thoracic Surgery at Regional Medicine Center at Memphis and General Surgery Millard Fillmore in Buffalo. He and Moloud settled in West Virginia in 1975. He worked the majority of his career at Cabell Huntington Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital. Just before retiring he was an assistant professor at Marshall University. Dr. Hadi retired several years ago from St. Mary's Medical Center where he specialized in treating people with cardiovascular disease. He enjoyed retirement spending his days with his wife and son, playing golf and just recently renewing his love of traveling. Hossein was a great man, he had a way about him, that drew you in, and you liked him instantly, his patients all loved him, he was good doctor, as his co-workers say, good colleague, but most of all he was a great human being. He was a very kind man always thinking of others, never taking life too seriously, quick with a story or joke to make you laugh. A prime example of true unconditional love. He will be greatly missed, and never forgotten. Rest in peace. The family will receive friends Monday June 17 from 6:00PM -7:00PM at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home. A service will follow at 7:30PM at the Muslim Association of Huntington Mosque 944 20th Street. Burial will be in Los Angeles, CA.
