Betty Rae Yates
(November 17, 1926 - March 22, 2014)



Betty Rae Yates, 87 of Huntington passed away March 22, 2014 in Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.  Funeral Service will be held 11 am, Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in the Chapel of Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home with John Holland officiating. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Betty was born November 17, 1926 in Vestaburg, PA a daughter of the late David Mason and Alice Mason Weekley. Betty was a Lifetime member of the DAV, Past Unit 2 Commander of the DAV Ladies Aux., a member of the VFW ladies Aux. Post 1064, American Legion Ladies Aux Post 93, and a Kentucky Colonel. She is preceded in death by heer husband Albert Yates, three sisters Hazel Bartus, Pearl Burcin, Cora Austin and one brother Lowman Mason.  Survivors include four Children Constance Foster Watson of Catlettsburg, KY, Bonita Call of Kenova, WV Suzanne Mullett (Larry) of Huntington, JoAnn Mooney Burns (Tracy) of Huntington, WV., eight grandchildren Christie Brumfield (Mike), Debbie Hamrick ( Rodney), Kenny Mooney (Jessica), Michael Hysell, Anthony Hysell (Amy), Timmy Carroll (Amber), Jimmy Ramey, David Ramey (Megan) Seventeen Great-grandchildren and two great great- grandchildren and host of other family members and friends . Visitation will 6-8 pm, Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the funeral home.  In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.  The arrangements for Betty have been entrusted to Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington.
