Obituary

DELLA L. STEVENS, 91, of Barboursville, W.Va., passed away Sunday, April 17, 2005, in Teays Valley Center, Hurricane, W.Va. Funeral service will be conducted at noon Thursday, April 21, 2005, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with the Rev. Doug Spurlock officiating. Burial will follow in Union Ridge Cemetery, Glenwood, W.Va. She was born July 24, 1913 in Cabell County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Reuben H. and Martha Legg Jenkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Stevens; son-in-law, William T. Trippett; four brothers, Virgil, Willie, Henry and Glen Jenkins; and one sister, Ella Edmonds. She is survived by one son, William T. Stevens of Huntington; one daughter, Mary Trippett of Lesage; four grandchildren, Gina Massie and her husband Ronnie of Ona, W.Va., Brian Trippett of Lesage, W.Va., Timmy Stevens and his wife Karen of Huntington and Michelle Roberts and her husband Terry of Fayetteville, N.C.; five great-grandchildren, Kevin Massie, Christopher Massie, Chelsea Stevens, Graham Stevens and Hillary Roberts; and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Iva Jenkins of Glenwood and Ida and Vernon Black of Milton.
