Obituary

Clyde B. Cooper, 66, of Milton went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 13, 2006 in St. Marys Medical Center.  Funeral service will be conducted 2 PM, Sunday, July 16, 2006 at Chestnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Milton with Rev. Winford Curry and Rev. Chelcie Gibson officiating.  Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.  He was born January 9, 1940 in Cabell County, a son of the late Boyd and Ora Black Cooper.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Boyd M. Cooper.  Clyde was a member of Chestnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Milton Masonic Lodge.  He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Cooper; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Michael Blake; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Tina Cooper; three grandsons, Lex Blake, Cole Cooper, and Chase Cooper; one step daughter, Tonya Jarvis; two brothers-in-law, James McCarty and Roy McCarty; one sister-in-law, Linda McCarty.  Friends may call from 6 to 9 PM on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.  Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday.
