Obituary

Wilson Montrose “Mont” Hall, 82, of Milton, husband of Phyllis Jacks Hall, passed away Monday, May 28, 2007 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Joseph Jarrett officiating.  Burial will follow in Trace Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.  Mont was born February 15, 1925 in Hamlin, a son of the late Mack and Georgia Moore Hall.  He is also preceded in death by his fist wife, Reba Smith Hall; one daughter, Diana Hall Courts; one brother, Dresmond Hall; five sisters, Ruby, Jessie, Pansy, Bernice and Edrew.  He served his country in the United States Navy during the WWII and the Korean Conflict.  He was also a member of the Milton Lions Club where he served as treasurer and a member of the Milton VFW Post 9796 and the Milton American Legion Post 139.  He also was a member of the Milton Methodist Church.  In addition to his wife he is survived by one brother, Randell B. Hall; one granddaughter, Tiffany Courts Vargo; one grandson, Shawn Lee Courts.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
