Anna Gardner Perkins, 81, of Louisville, KY died Friday, March 18, 2011 at the Masonic Home of Louisville. Funeral service will be conducted 1 PM, Monday, March 21, 2011 at Culloden Baptist Church, Culloden with Rev. Claude Spurlock officiating. Burial will follow in Culloden Cemetery. She was born January 3, 1930 in Culloden, WV a daughter of the late Avery Arnold and Macil Mae Fizer Gardner. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Raney Perkins; brothers, George F., Franklin D., Homer H.; sister, Eleanor R. Smith. Anna Cinderella was the oldest of five children born unto her parents. She met Raney (Chisum) Perkins in Kentucky. Raney was a widower with older children. Raney and Anna married February 28, 1955 in Letcher County, KY, on a Monday at the home of Mr. Basil Hall. They had two sons, Fred and Timmie. In addition to her two sons of Louisville, KY, Anna is also survived by two grand daughters, Christina and Kasey Lee; sister, Sarah E. Gardner Leggott of Ohio; family members, Pauline L. Perkins and family of Hazel Park, Michigan, Larry and Ellen A. Perkins and family of Louisville, KY; many other family and friends to remember her. Anna was a loving mother and house keeper. She loved to cook and shared many of her home grown recipes. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM, Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
