Obituary

GEORGE KIRWAN
(February 21, 1929 - March 18, 2012)

George Bernard Kirwan of Huntington, died March 18, 2012 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Kingston, PA on February 21, 1929. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired General Manager of the Car Department with Chessie System Railroad.  He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rosemary Josephine (Carnaggio) Kirwan; four children, Georgeanne (Kirwan) Pinkerman (Gregory), Stephen and Sherry Kirwan, Lori Kirwan, Robert and Kimberly Kirwan; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Our dad instilled the passion of travel and the belief that we could accomplish anything. He was always there for us. He was a wonderful father and one of our best friends. He will be sadly missed by us all. Graveside Family Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 with Rev. Father Jim Sobus officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, WV is caring for the family.
