Beuna Isabelle “Boots” Cole, age 92, died Sunday, January 14, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Born September 21, 1925 to Otis and Etta Mae Cook, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, George W. Cole. She was also preceded in death by son, Randall Scott Cole and grandson Jonathan David Sowards. Boots was preceded in death by brothers Emery, Chester, and Oley Cooke and sisters, Mildred Milton, Ruby Call, Hazel Grace Cook and Neva Sturm.  She is survived by a son, Bradley W. (Linda), daughter Katherine L. (Jeff) Sowards, daughter-in-law, Catherine Cole, and sister-in-law, Helen King. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jesse Cole, Meagan (Chris) Platania, Ryan (Tiffany) Cole, Stephen Cole, Joseph (Jennifer) Sowards and Justin (Emily) Sowards. Great grandchildren surviving her are Elliette Platania, Katy Sowards, Easton Cole and step-great grandson, Aidan Leighty. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews whom she loved.  Boots was a member of Steele Memorial Methodist Church where she was part of the Ruth Circle for many years. She was also a past member of the Huntington Garden Club. She was an avid tennis player, loved bowling and was known in her youth for her gymnastic ability. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends. Boots will be sadly missed by a host of friends and family.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary, East Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, W.Va. near Barboursville with Rev. Kevin Lantz officiating. Entombment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va. The family will receive friends two hour prior to services on Saturday at the mortuary.
