Lorena May Copley

Lorena May Aborizk Copley, widow of App F. Copley, 89, of Charleston, W.Va. formerly of Chesapeake, Ohio, was joyfully called into Heaven on Friday, October 11, 2013; she was born June 22, 1924 in Huntington, WV. She was the daughter of the late Abraham K. and Mary Mariage Aborizk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, baby Turner and Robert D. Turner; one brother, Benny N. Aborizk. Also preceded in death by her grandson, Michael T. Clark, and a son-in-law, Rodney D. Butcher. She was a Member of Beverly Hills United Methodist Church and The John Wesley Sunday School Class since 1961. Surviving are two loving daughters , Sandra J. Aiello of Frederick Maryland, and Nancy J. Clark of Charleston WV, whom she resided with since 2009, and a brother Donald J. Aborizk of Tampa, Fla., six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many, special friends. She had many friends close to her from her church and work. Lorena was retired from WSAZ TV as National Sales Operation Manager for 12 years, she was past president of the Benevolent Society and she was a member of the South Point Chapter # 404, OES. She was always active in chairing her class reunions from Huntington High School. Lorena was a loving mother and grandmother, with so many talents, such as sewing, crocheting, cooking, and decorating cakes for socials and weddings. In 2011, she took up the hobby of creating jewelry, and loved giving them away to friends and family. Arrangements will be held at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary, Huntington, WV. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time, which is 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, Interment at Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Beverly Hills United Methodist Church.
