Thomas "Tommy" Glen Plymale
(November 19, 1954 - May 22, 2015)



Thomas “Tommy” Glen Plymale, 60, of Huntington, passed away Friday May 22, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Jeff Lycans. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Kenova, WV. He was born November 19, 1954 in Huntington, a son of the late Melvin and Lois Bussey Plymale. Tommy was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 132 from 1978-2015; International Union of Operating Engineers Local 132 Business Manager 2010-2015; WV Waste Water Development Board; Vice President of WV AFL-CIO; WV State Building Trades Executive Board; International Union of Operating Engineers Local 132 Health & Welfare, Pension and Apprenticeship funds Trustee; WV Heavy Highway Association Trustee and the Southwestern District Labor Council Hall of Fame Inductee. He was also a member of Elks Lodge 313, Huntington Lodge #53 AF&AM, Beni Kedem Shrine, Huntington Scottish Rites, Huntington Moose Lodge 2586, VFW Post 9738 and Sons of the American Legion Post 16 of Huntington. Survivors include his daughter and son in law Amanda and Garrett Cunningham of Huntington; two brothers and sisters in law Mickey and Kathy Plymale of Huntington and David E. and Gina Plymale of Kenova, WV; sister and brother in law Barbara “sis” and Carl Wilhelm of Charlotte, NC; several nieces and nephews and a host of very dedicated close friends. Pallbearers for Tommy will include David “Bones” McComas, Matthew McComas, David E. Plymale, Bennie S. Sparks, “John Boy” Wilson and Jim Terry. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Monday at the Reger Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, P.O. Box 464, Huntington, WV, 25709.
