Obituary

Jeanette Ellen Perry Lawrence
(June 6, 1933 - February 10, 2013)

Jeanette Ellen Perry Lawrence, 79 of Homosassa, Fl., formerly of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center, Crystal River, FL. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday February 15, 2013 at Lewis Memorial Baptist Church by Dr. David Lemming. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Huntington. She was born June 6, 1933 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Otis V. and Ollie Pearl Kelly Perry. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, David Lee Lawrence; two daughters, Stephanie Schumaker (her husband Jim) of Richmond, VA and Jennifer Dodrill (her husband Scott) of Homosassa FL; two loving grandsons Taylor Schumaker of Richmond, VA and Eric Dodrill (his wife Melissa) of Washington, PA; and one great-grandson Callen Elliott Dodrill. There are many family members in Huntington whom she loved dearly, especially Joyce and Mack Miller. Also there are numerous nieces and nephews that she loved, as well as her church family. She was retired from Sears after 30 plus years of service. She loved life, had a quick wit, loved to travel and loved Christmas. She seldom complained and never asked more from others than they were able to give. Above all she loved her family especially those grandsons. Those who knew and loved her know that this world's loss is surely Heaven's gain. She knew that she was loved and will be forever in our hearts. We will miss you beloved wife, mother and grandmother. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lewis Memorial Baptist Church 5385 W. Pea Ridge Rd. Huntington, WV. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, and after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the church.
