SHIRLEY HATFIELD WHALEY
(October 20, 1926 - October 7, 2015)

SHIRLEY HATFIELD WHALEY, 88, of Branchland, W.Va., passed away October 7, 2015, in Myrtle Beach, S.C., where she was residing with her niece. She was born October 20, 1926, in Cabell County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Whaley; her parents, Ben and Lizzie Hatfield; her sister Eunice Cremeans; two brothers, Okey and Homer Hatfield. She is survived by her brother, Tomie Hatfield; and her sister Irene Messinger; and her sister-in-law Veda Hatfield; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Gary Wilson and Rev. Robert Hatfield. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday at Wallace Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2015, at Hatfield Cemetery.
