Obituary

Donald Carl "Duc" Owens
(September 30, 1950 - September 26, 2015)

Donald Carl “Duc” Owens, of Hamlin, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 in Morgantown. He was born September 20, 1950 in Lincoln County, a son of the late Wilson and Faye S. Johnston Owens. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and three grandchildren. He is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Jessica and Arless Seabolt of Richwood, WV., and Ladawnna Owens of Dunlow; one son, James D. Owens of Dunlow; one sister, Geneva Vickers of Hamlin; sisters-in-law, Wanda Owens and Lynn Collins and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Pocahontas Center for their care. Visitation will be Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, with funeral services starting at 8:00 p.m.
