Edmond Lee Ward
(December 16, 1932 - April 9, 2017)



Edmond Lee Ward, 84, of Ona, WV, passed away on April 9, 2017, at River’s Bend Health Care Center. Edmond was born December 16, 1932, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Ernest and Thelma Gibson Ward. He retired from the Cabell County Board of Education. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Clara “Cotton” Ward. He is survived by one son, Mark (Kim) Ward and granddaughter, Heather; one daughter, Patti Paugh and grandson Chad W. Paugh; nieces, Debbie Heavner and Pam Owens; and a special nephew, David Hooser of Columbus, OH. He was a member of the 26th Street Church of Christ. Eddie was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, with Minister Alan Cole officiating. Entombment will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the 26th Street Church of Christ, 101 26th Street, Huntington, WV, 25703. Our family would like to extend our gratitude to Doug Altizer for being a good and loyal friend to our father.
