Obituary

E. Juanita Lucas, 90, of Huntington, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2008 in St. Mary’s Medical Center.  Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington with the Rev. Johnny Harris officiating.  Burial will follow in Bowen Cemetery.  She was born February 5, 1918 in Wayne, WV, a daughter of the late Henry and Viola Perry Harless.  She was also preceded in death by her former husband, Clarence W. Lucas; four brothers, Woodrow W. Harless, William D. Harless, Wilford G. Harless and Henry Harless, Jr.; five sisters, Mary I. Harless, Gladys O. Estep, Wilma L. Williamson, Verna R. Childers and M. Irene Rhodes; and one granddaughter, Michelle Zachow.  She is survived by two daughters, Sandra G. Lucas and Linda K. Zachow; two sisters, Locie M. Adkins and her husband, Ancil “Bub”and Donna Jean Daniels; five grandchildren and their spouses, Terry D. and Susan Lucas, Kelly L. Zachow and Cory Thiessen, Kimberly D. and Eric Maynor, Barbara A. and Patrick Messinger and R. Bradley Zachow; eight great grandchildren, Bryan S. Littlejohn and his wife, Nicki, Pvt. Kenneth D. Littlejohn, Kayla R. Lucas, Rachel E. Messinger, Jorden N. Lucas, Rachel N. Thiessen and Ryan Brayden Zachow; and a host of extended family members and friends.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2008 at Beard Mortuary.
