Obituary

James Lee Anderson, 75 of Huntington, WV., passed away at his residence on Saturday February 23, 2008 after a long courageous fight with Parkinson Disease. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Sue Jarrett officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. He was born July 13, 1932 in Huntington, WV a son of the late William and Cecilia Bean Anderson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, William John Anderson. He was a retired West Virginia State Road Supervisor. He was an Air Force Veteran having served during the Korean War. Jim was an exceptional husband, father and “Pops”. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marcia Humbertson Anderson; three children, Albert (Sheri) Anderson of Hurricane, WV; James W. (Jennifer) Anderson and Patti (Richard) Novak of Milton, WV; four grandchildren, Matthew and Katie Anderson, Jacob and Julianna Anderson; four step-grandchildren, Kira and Kama Bailey, Richard and JoeyBeth Novak, and three step-great grandchildren, Calista and Kiona Novak and Keelie Reynolds. Also, a special grandson, Michael L. Bowyer of Milton, WV. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to St. Mary’s Outpatient Lab, Dr. Janet Wallace, Dr. Ijaz Ahmad, and to his caregiver, Jennifer Bailey. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Pea Ridge United Methodist Church or to the Barboursville Volunteer Fire Department.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Monday at Beard Mortuary.
