David Fox Jr., 86, of
Huntington,
WV, passed on February 2, 2008 at
Cabell
Huntington
Hospital. A memorial
service will be conducted at 1pm Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at First
Presbyterian Church, Huntington. David was born February
19, 1921, in
Cabell
County, a son of the
late David Fox Sr. and Eleanor Griffin Fox. He is also preceded in death by
his children’s mother, Charlotte Fox; by his late wife, Helga Fox; sister,
Betty Whipkey; brother, John Fox; grandson, Brian Fox. He is survived by two
sons and two daughters –in- law, David Fox III and Laurie and Stephen and
Cathy Fox; one daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Larry Feiss; one step-son,
John Hamer and his wife Paula; one brother, William S. Fox; seven
grandchildren, Michael Fox and his wife Kathleen, Sally Jones and her
husband T.J., Lucas Boselli, Charlotte Fox, Julie Fox, Stephanie Fox, and
Kaitlin Hamer; and five great grandchildren. David was a
member of the First Presbyterian Church in Huntington, WV; a Past Huntington
City Counselman, a Past Cabell County Assessor; Past President of the
Marshall University Foundation, Past President of the Marshall University
Alumni Association, Past President of the Marshall University Big Green
Scholarship Foundation, a member of the Cabell
Huntington Hospital Foundation Board, and Past Director of the First Bank of
Ceredo. David was Secretary/Treasurer of McJunkin Appalachian Oil Field
Supply Co; President/ Owner of Branchland Pipe and Supply Co. He was also a
World War II Veteran of the U.S. Army.
Friends may visit from 6 to 8pm Monday, February 4, 2008 at Beard Mortuary,
Huntington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Brian Fox
