WV, died Friday, November 7, 2008 at Manor
Care Nursing Home,
Alexandria,
VA. Funeral
service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Beard
Mortuary,
Huntington,
WV, with the Rev. Jerald Lanham
and the Rev. Jeffrey Arthur officiating. Burial will
follow in
Moore’s
Chapel
Cemetery,
Ashton,
WV. She was
born August 19, 1927 in
Glenwood,
WV, a daughter of the late
Charles M. and Pearlie Scarberry Chapman. She was also
preceded in death by her husband, Jake Deal; one brother and five sisters.
She was a homemaker who loved to bake pies, play guitar and sing.
She was a member of
Faith
Gospel
Mission
Church,
Glenwood,
WV where she sang in the choir.
After moving to
Huntington, she attended the
Fourth
Avenue
United
Methodist
Church,
Huntington,
WV for many years and sang in
their choir. She is survived by one daughter and
son-in-law, Deborah and Hazrat Rehman of Alexandria, VA; one granddaughter,
Jamila Rehman of Alexandria, VA; one nephew, William W. Crum of Huntington,
WV; two nieces, Virginia Arrowood and Velma Booth of Huntington, WV; two
great nephews, Larry Arrowood of North Carolina and Danny Booth of
Huntington; three great nieces, Linda Arrowood, Jeanne Crum Wray and Penny
Booth of Huntington, WV; and many other nieces, nephews and special friends
and neighbors. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m.
