Obituary
James W. Keys, Jr., 83, of
Huntington,
WV, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2008
at
Cabell-Huntington
Hospital.
He was born August 10, 1925 at Christian, WV, a son of the late James
W. Keys, Sr. and Angie Lena Browning Keys. He was a
graduate of
Milton
High School and attended
Marshall
College.
He was a United States Army Veteran and served in the European
Theater during World War II. He retired from BASF
Corporation in 1984. He is survived by his wife of 56
years, Betty Lee Ward Keys; children, Peggy Lee Keys (Danny) Snyder of South
Point, OH, Walter Keys and Kathryn J. Keys, both of Huntington; a
granddaughter, Alison Lee Snyder; two great grandchildren, Jacob and Jenna
Lindsey, all of Huntington; a sister, Kathryn K. Keys of Barboursville; a
brother and sister-in-law, Gary C. and Christine Keys of Barboursville; and
several nieces and nephews. Jimmy was a caring husband
and loving father and grandfather. Graveside services
will be held Monday, November 10, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Ridgelawn Memorial Park
Mausoleum with the Rev. Robert Johnson officiating.
There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the Cabell-Huntington Hospital Foundation, Dialysis
Unit or the charity of your choice.
