Obituary

Helen Doris Spurlock Bays, 87, of Huntington, widow of H.R. “Randy” Bays, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 after a brief illness. She was born on July 11, 1922 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Elza and Nell Spurlock. She is survived by one son, Rodney Bays of Huntington; one daughter, Susan Bays and her husband Gary Strickland of Huntington; and two precious granddaughters, Brittany and Whitney Bays of Huntington. Helen was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. Her courage and strength throughout her life will live on in her family. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 24 at 12:30 PM at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville with Rev. Doreen Adkins officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of the service at the mausoleum chapel. Please have all flowers sent directly to the White Chapel Mausoleum. Beard Mortuary is assisting the family.
